Contemplating My Internal Organs

Daring to deface the photographic surface by stitching began during my sister’s battle with cancer. I became obsessed with what was going on inside her body and began stitching representations of internal organs on the body surface. This series was installed so that both front and back surfaces could be viewed. “Revelation” exposed my deep-felt reaction to her situation.
