Limens and Sublimens (Mexico)

In 1993-94 I organized a project in Oaxaca, Mexico. Over a six-month period 17 artists/friends worked and lived at Bungalows Xandu for 2-3 week periods. Limens and Sublimens came out of that experience. “Limen” refers to the edge or threshold between things and subliminal is about the unconscious or the mystery of what lies below the surface. These images are related to sacred mythology and magic, rich in the culture and life of the Mexican people.
